Contemporary Chinese Studies
This event is conceived as an academic forum exploring China's emergence as a key player on the international stage and its growing influence on the geopolitical, economic, social, environmental, and cultural dynamics of Latin America and the Caribbean. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, it seeks to generate a deep and contextualized understanding of China's impact on the region and its role in the contemporary world.
SIECC 2025
The First International Seminar, held on October 2nd and 3rd , marked an important milestone in the analysis of Latin America, the Caribbean, and China within the new global order. The Seminar brought together authorities, researchers, and business representatives who reflected on digital sovereignty, the climate crisis, academic, cultural, and scientific cooperation, as well as integration pathways and regional dilemmas.

The First International Seminar, held on May 30, 2024, in Costa Rica , marked the beginning of an annual platform to analyze China's role in the world and its interaction with Latin America and the Caribbean.
