
Chair in Contemporary China
The Chair was born in response to the growing interest in understanding the economic, social, cultural and technological transformations of Contemporary China as well as the new dynamics linked to its position and influence in the international system.
Through the facilitation, promotion and dissemination of knowledge, the Chair seeks to generate ressources for decision makers, both public and private, from academic, governmental and civil society institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean with interest currently from the People's Republic of China.
In this way, the Chair constituts itself as a bridge between our region and China, matching academics and top-level researchers to promote innovative collaborations that allows us to understand the trends, development and transformations of Contemporary China.
Scope
The fields of action of the Contemporary China Chair are oriented towards training, cooperation in research and academic exchange, which focus on four non-exhaustive axes and which are addressed through instances such as seminars, symposia, talks, conferences, project development, repositories, publications, etc.
